Track Record

Among the outstanding broodmares purchased by James Delahooke are the dams of two Derby winners: Slightly Dangerous – dam of Commander in Chief Derby winner and leading sire in Japan and Warning champion miler and a leading sire in Japan. Aryenne – dam of Quest for Fame Derby winner and a leading sire in USA and Australia.

James has also achieved the unique distinction of having bought both the sire and dam of two Derby winners: Rainbow Quest and Aryenne – Quest for Fame; and Dancing Brave and Slightly Dangerous – Commander in Chief.

And Razyana, the dam of Danehill, purchased as a yearling in Saratoga for $350,000. Danehill is now recognised as arguably the most influential sire of sires in Europe.
